Anew Mediation: What to Expect
Initial Consultation:
- Schedule a Meeting: Contact me to schedule your initial consultation via Zoom.
- Discuss Your Needs: We'll discuss your specific situation, answer any questions, and determine if mediation is the right choice for you.
Preparation:
- Collect Information: You will provide necessary documents and information related to your case.
- Set Goals: We'll identify the main issues to be resolved and set clear goals for the mediation process.
Mediation Sessions:
- First Session: We'll start with an introductory session to outline the process and establish guidelines.
- Subsequent Sessions: Through a series of sessions, we'll work collaboratively to address and resolve each issue. Sessions are typically 1-2 hours long and scheduled at your convenience.
Communication:
- Open Dialogue: You'll have the opportunity to speak openly, express your concerns, and propose solutions.
- Guided Negotiation: I will facilitate discussions, ensuring they remain productive and focused..
Agreement Drafting:
- Drafting the Agreement: Once an understanding is reached, I will draft a written agreement detailing the terms of your resolution.
- Review and Revise: You'll review the draft and suggest any necessary revisions to ensure it accurately reflects your agreements.
Finalization:
- Memorandum of Understanding: If necessary, the Memorandum of Understanding can be reviewed by your attorney at your discretion.
- Court Submission: Once finalized, the agreement may be presented to the court, if required.
- Follow-Up: I offer follow-up sessions to address any post-agreement questions or adjustments.
